Thread: Batch ripp Disc Number used as folder name.

Batch ripp Disc Number used as folder name.

    Hi,

At first, thank you so much for the quality of your software. It's so useful !

I would like to use the batch ripper disc number as a folder name. Is it possible ?
I have a lot of cds not recognized by metadata providers. In that case, how can I edit tags in order that all tracks from a CD goes to the same folder, and every CD to a different folder ?

    Example :
    Disc1\01.wav
    Disc1\02.wav
    Disc1\03.wav
    Disc2\01.wav
    Disc2\02.wav

    Thank you.
    Bye

    You can add:

    [batchid] to the filenaming string

    Hi,
    Thank you for your help.
If I remember well, [Batchid] sends the number of the Batch (autoincremental number generated by dPowerAmp), batch that can contain hundred CDs.
Not a number for each CD.
So, two Cds with no metadata ripped during the same batch would be put in the same folder. That's my problem.
    Tell me if I'm wrong.

    Thank you.

    Hi,
I made a few tests. [batchid] was not recognized as a dynamic element, it created a folder named [batchid].
I also tried to use [tag]<batchid>[] as a folder name, it looked like it was recognised (the example in "set file naming" did'nt show "[tag]<batchid>[]" ), but it didn't create any folder.
Do you have an idea ?

    Thank you.

Sorry BatchID was the wrong one, you need:

    \[tag]BatchDiscNumber[]\

    Hi,
    Thank you very much.
What about posting a complete list of dPowerAmp variables/tag elements ?
    Bye.
