ACM old LAME 3.93.1 conversion leads to 1 KB WAV files

I know that it is recommended to use the latest included LAME version 3.98.4 in VBR mode.

But for my mobile player I prefer CBR 128 files.
That's why I want to use the old (ACM) LAME 3.93.1 that is superior for CBR 128 encoding.

But when I use LAME 3.93.1 (via ACM) with DMC R14 all I get are 1 KB WAV files (without any error message !).

In all other applications I have tried the LAME 3.93.1 ACM encoding works (as expected).

The only exception is DMC R14 !
    Is this a bug ?

Replacing the lame.exe 3.98.4 inside DMC program folder with versions older than 3.98 and using the standard LAME encoding interface in DMC leads to completely distorted mp3 files (full of noise).

The old lame is not compatible.

Sorry, but the problem is not that the old lame version is not compatible.
    dMC is not compatible !

I have tried ACM version of LAME 3.98.4.
    It is the same result.
You get 1 KB WAV files.

So, obvious it is dMC that is incompatible.
I know that ACM is a very old encoding system concept and almost irrelevant today (based on its limitation to CBR encoding).

    But the point is:
As long as you can select ACM LAME encoding as option in dMC it should give a reasonable output (and not 1 KB WAV files without any error message or warning).

If you think that ACM LAME support is irrelevant then remove this option.
But as long as this option exists in dMC it should work correctly (as in many other applications).

More information why I want to use LAME 3.93.1:

I have solved this problem for myself:
Instead of ACM interface or the standard lame.exe GUI control in dMC I now use lame.exe 3.93.1 via the CLI plugin and this command line:
    "-s 44.1 - [output]"

    This works !
