    dBpoweramp Music Converter R14.1

Install over the top (without uninstalling old) of Reference or Power Pack to retain registration status. This beta times out in November 2011 (full release will be well before then)

    Changes:

Property Extension now registers 'Title' for viewing in explorer
CD Ripper: Improved Insert CD page (in relation to main forum)
    Added Period to Property Handler
CD Ripper: New option to set a maximum file size in KB, defaults to 256KB
    AccurateRip.dll v4 (collates disc TOCs)
Music Converter <> Multi-Encoder, now show true encoding speed when encoding to multiple formats
Multi-Encoder allows use of [encoder] in dynamic naming
CD Ripper shows AccurateRip matches from other pressings in the log, upto 6 matches
Internet Album Retrieval Page optomised, also has a 'Sort Largest to Smallest' button
flac: composersort, soloists, split internally correctly
mp3 tagging option: to store YYYY MM DD in the date
batch converter: added the replaygain tags to the list page
Manual Meta Review window has alternating white and light gray background rows, so is easier to compare words on the same row
Manual Meta Review: drawing speed enhancements
Multiple Sort Values shown in CD Ripper and Tag Editor as Item1; Item2 (previosly was Item1{CR}Item2)
    CD Ripper default secure output log named as: [rippedtopath]\[IFVALUE]album artist,[album artist],[IFCOMP]Various Artists[][IF!COMP][artist][][] - [album].txt
CD Ripper default secure output log written as unicode
Background for valuelist fixed on White
PerfectMeta downgrades an artist if is: Various Artist Various Artists Various
PerfectMeta downgrades when the number of tracks returned does not match the number of tracks on the disc
Multi-Encoder works with Playlist Writer, Album ReplayGain (should be most items which previously did not work with multi-encoder)
Shell Extension, old popup info tip stored so when uninstalled is restored
Property Handler by default does not register certain extensions (such as .mp4), these exclusions can be set in dMC Configuration
If CD Ripper is moved to another desktop then will retain the correct background
ID3v2: mp3 artistsort, composersort - have to store multiples with '/' not CR
    Batch Converter: Better Network browsing
Batch Converter: Was possible to drag headers, but should not have been possible
batch converter works with 'dBpoweramp Batch Convert' and UNC paths
Explorer ID Tag writer - if cannot write the tags has Retry, Cancel not just OK
CD Ripper - click art work to review shown art at maximum size
CD Ripper - album art shown in display without the surrounding case
CD Ripper - Meta Drop Menu - option to clear metadata
CD Ripper - 8KB Transfers (C2 Pointers over USB / Firewire) should work now in more instances

Bug Fix: Com Scripting in x64 - .ReadIDTag and .WriteIDTag would previously not work
Bug Fix: Corrupted Album Art could freeze conversion
Bug Fix: dBpoweramp Configuration can save settings for limited user account

Thanks spoon. Some nice fixes. Will be trying later today.

    What is this:
    AccurateRip.dll v4 (collates disc TOCs)

AccurateRip is forwarding TOCs to the AccurateRip server, these might be useful in the future if single tracks were to be looked up (the toc is there for ar disc id generation), but is not going to be used in the short term.

Nice, will try it out this week.

RE: CD Ripper: New option to set a maximum file size in KB, defaults to 256KB

Is it possible to allow the running of a command to convert downloaded art to a different format before applying it? I've also noticed that on a lot of the larger jpg files, opening the file in Snag-It editor (for example) and resaving it, can reduce the size dramatically (with no size change or loss in quality).

    Re: dBpoweramp Music Converter R14.1

Possible bug: just updated my R14 to R14.1 beta, and ripped a CD that is not in AccurateRip. It was ripped securely, and the CRC is displayed in the CD Ripper window, but in the AccurateRip result tag (which I opted to have written to the file), the CRC is all zeroes:

AccurateRip: Not in database Secure: Yes [00000000]

    Re: dBpoweramp Music Converter R14.1

Possible bug: Log displayed at the end (and written to .log file), last line repeating:

    Code:
AccurateRip: Accurate (confidence 1) [Pass 1]
      CRC32: B707C58A AccurateRip CRC: 097A6BB5 [DiscID: 012-0019f5a7-00fadb40-bc11b40d-1]
      AccurateRip Verified Confidence 1 [CRCv1 97a6bb5]
      AccurateRip Verified Confidence 1 [CRCv1 97a6bb5]
Should maybe be one entry for CRCv1 and another for CRCv2?

Is it just one disc which does this or all?

Noticed this also. Seems like it only happens when an album is AccurateRip'ed. Have tested 5 albums and it have been like that in the logs on the 3 of them and those was AR ripped.

Another thing i just noticed was that the 'Comments' box up in the right corner on the Ripper GUI is missing in the Beta.

    Re: dBpoweramp Music Converter R14.1

    Hi Spoon,
I just installed the new beta and discovered that a problem that I had with all prior versions still exists:

I'm running Windows 7/64bit and have two monitors.
    A small 1024x768 primary screen and a
    large 1920x1200 secondary screen.
When I start Db poweramp it starts always on the primary screen,
    (no problem with that)
Then I usually drag it on the secondary screen and maximize it.
In this case there a three sections in the dbpoweramp window that
go transparent, which is not a huge problem as long as there are no other windows opened on that screen. But it is still a bug I wanted to report.

The sections are red in the following screenshot (I adjusted the screen background to red that the sections are better recognized)

    Re: dBpoweramp Music Converter R14.1

I have a CD, Blur - Think Tank (Limited Edition) which has a hidden track at Track 0 (my drive does not read track 0).

The problem is that on all subsequent insertions of the CD in my drive, the data is never read from the CDRipperCache. All other CDs are OK.

    Re: dBpoweramp Music Converter R14.1

Edit ID-Tag on a flac file with multiple Composer and ComposerSort shows:
    Composer=John Lennon; Paul McCartney
    ComposerSort=Lennon, John; McCartney, Paul

After flac to mp3 conversion, iTunes and MP3Tag shows the mp3 file:
    Composer=John Lennon/Paul McCartney
    ComposerSort=Lennon, JohnMcCartney, Paul

The multiple fields are lost and there's a line break/carriage return character in the ComposerSort. Please advise.

Two possible bugs here. I would appreciate some sort of response.

    TIA.

(Edit: More testing shows the same result for multiple Artist and ArtistSort).

iTunes cannot read multiple items from id3v2.3 tags, the '/' is the separator
