AC3 files conversion

Hello

i've searching the forum for the wayto convert AC3 sound files.
I installed the directshow plugin and ac3filter as found, but conversion fails each time saying the filter is not installed.

I a kind soul has the perfect setup with a step by step guide, i'd be pleased to
read it.

Windows 7 premium x64 edition.

almost same problem

Hi folks,

I have got almost the same problem, I also like to convert a .ac3 from a DVD to WAV. I installed the 'AC3 Direct Show Filter' and installed dBpoweramp's DirectShow filter where I had to add the .ac3 into the .txt file.

I can start the conversion, but it stopps immediatly and produces a 4 or 6kb file of junk?

anybody has got an idea?!

I am not sure I can help much in setting up the .ac3 conversion, never tried it myself. You can check the directshow is working correctly by having Windows Media Player try to play the track.

HTH people whohad hard time of it like me.

I don't want to mess my system with all directshow stuff.
