Can batch converter be used to back up.

If one wants to create a back up copy of a hard drive, containing Flac music folders, can batch converter be used to do this. Is so does one always needs to select a different codec for the destination file.

Yes, it can be used for this purpose. However, in order to preserve the folder structure you may have to do a few folders at a time. It depends on how you have set up your folder structure.

You can choose the same file format settings that the files are already in, so you do not need to use a different codec.

What ever you do, I would suggest doing a couple of folders at a time and test it out for yourself.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply, I'm currently using it to create my playback copy, from FLAC files, so my folder structure is sound. Its good to know I can create a back up using the same format.
