    Re: Renderer specific transcoding.

I'm just asking for reasonable documentation of the features that appear in the trial version. Sure I should've checked every single feature and checked every line of documentation before I gave you my money. Sure I shouldn't've asked you for a couple of minutes help. So sorry. I live and learn. All the best with your endeavours. I think you are spreading yourself too thin.

      This is COOL!

Following the various pointers above I just made a quick change to solve a problem that I was looking at.

      =DLNADOC
      [ForceToLPCM]
      *
      [NoForce]
      .mp3
      .flac

to allow Apple Lossless and WMA Lossless to play on my Roberts Stream 83i (using Frontier Silicon's internet radio and media streaming platform).

I also found that I could edit the OverrideSettings.txt file outside of Asset to get around the limited edit space issue (no scrolling). It just works.

Spoon - I am most impressed. Thanks for this feature.

I totally agree, this is exceptional.

If only i checked these forums more often, I'd find these superb features.

My only problem is working out which control point is which (the sony is obvious) but the Roku, Harmon Kardon are a little more tricky (trial and error I guess)

If anyone can enlighten me on the following it would be great:-
        Allegro-Software-WebClient/4.32
        AVOS/1.1 libhttp/1.1
        KnOS/3.2 bridgeCo-DMP/3.0 DLNADOC/1.50 INTEL_NMPR/2.0
        POSIX DLNADOC/1.50 UPnP/1.01

        thanks again
        Steve

I am pretty sure that Roku = Allegro-Software-WebClient/4.32

The BridgeCo DLNA player solution is used in a number of hi-fi products (Denon, notably) so that could be your Harmon Kardon...

            Re: Renderer specific transcoding.

Given samundsen's generous note I think I understand the override structure. I see instances of the following transformations:

            [NoForce] = stream source unchanged.
[ForceToWAVE] = transcode source to WAVE format.
[ForceToLPCM] = transcode source to LPCM format.

These seem obvious. Each being lossless there is no need for any target quality arguments.

Are there other ForceTo options? If yes then how is target quality specified? If no then how about the following syntax?

            Code:
            [ForceTo( <format>, <codec-cmd-line> )]
