"Check all" program goes to "non-responding"

I am trying to convert a large file of albums/songs. When I click on the file, they load OK into the right screen but when I click "check all" the program immediately goes into non-responding" mode. Using a Win 7 PC. Thanks for any help.

You mean in Batch Converter? try putting a tick mark in the folder rather than selecting the files.

    Yes, the batch converter, sorry.
If I click on the folder name on the left with the files, it loads the files in the right screen.
But then if I click on the check box of the folder on the left, it shows a left pointing green arrow but it shows "0 files" when I try to convert.
If I then right click on a file on the right and click "check all" it goes to "non-responding"
If I first click on the folder check box on the left , it goes to "non-responding"

    Follow up to my post.
I have tried many variations to try and get the Batch Converter to work.
Everytime it crashes -"Not Responding". I have spent 9 months ripping my CD's and now I am unable to convert the flac files and I am very disappointed and frustrated. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Please upload a screen shot after you have clicked on the folder (the square box).

How many files do you have in that folder?

About 22,000 songs/files. I did make a smaller folder with about 500 and it did the same thing. It will work with one album's worth but I have 1600 albums to convert and the thought of making a separate folder for each is mindboggling.
    Thanks again for your help.

Put all the files in a sub folder, so you have:

    Working Flac Files\Another Folder

Then only check the square box for Working FLAC Files, that way the files will not be examined until conversion (when you click Convert).

Thanks so much, it looks like it is going to convert. Before I begin, I want the album art to go with the flac to aiff conversion. Do I need to use any of the DSP settings? I see where there is an "export album art to" and "import album art to" under ID Tag Processing. Sorry I am a beginner. Appreciate your help.

Your art is folder.jpg or embedded in the tags?

Yes, album art shows in the ID tags. I assume then that I am good to go?
No more questions after this, I promise. Thanks again!

If it is embedded there is nothing to do, if it is folder.jpg then install R7 of the DSP Effects (in the beta section of this forum, currently), it has a preserve folder.jpg option.

    Thanks,
    Project complete.
FWIW, and it may just be my setup, but when I converted the flac to aiff library via firewire, there were dropouts and glitches (noise/unrelated brief music insertions) in the resulting songs. When I converted a second time using USB, there were no dropouts or problems.
Thanks again for all of your help.
