Turn Off Ratings & Album Art

    Hi.
I have noticed in the recent version of dBpoweramp CD Ripper that it automatically gives my tracks a 5 star rating and includes a front cover album art.

I don't use ratings and I tag my album art and other tag information with another tagger,

Can I turn the ratings and album art off somewhere?

    Thanks...

      Thanks Spoon.
I thought I already looked there, but I'll check it again when I get home.

I checked, but I couldn't find anything to unselect.

Under Write ID Tags uncheck 'Album Art' and 'Rating'

            Thanks for your reply Spoon.
I just checked it again, and those settings are already unchecked.

I will try another rip soon and see what happens, but I don't think I have made any setting change since the last rip 3 days ago.

I have the same problem with embedded album art.
I actually have the disable tag writing option checked (I currently use other programs to tag) and it still embeds the artwork in my flac files.

Anyway to fix it or will we need for an update?

I will note as a possible bug to find.

I can now confirm that I have not been able to turn Ratings or Album Art off.
It automatically gives the tracks a 5 Star rating and a front album cover.

And I suspect other metadata such as Composer has the same problem.

You can add the DSP Effect ID Tag Processing and remove those items in the effect.

OK. I will have a play with that.

It is odd as I am testing for this issue now but cannot find it, if a tag is unchecked, such as rating, it is not written.

What is confusing is that it is visible in the UI. Perhaps that is what is making myself and the OP thinking it isn't working.

If the tag isn't going to be written, please don't update it in the UI (better yet, show it as disabled somehow). It is confusing.

If a tag is not written it is shown as light grey in the metadata section
