OPPO BDP-83 Blu-ray Player

My Asset library contains flac files (flac is lpcm) which play fine on the OPPO BDP-83.

However I see no tag information or artwork on OPPO BDP-83. Am I right in assuming this is an OPPO BDP-83 firmware issue rather than Asset UPnP?

Correct it is an issue with the oppo.

I have an Oppo BD83SE and have the same issue, call Oppo and complain, the more of us that do might help, i kind of doubt it but we can try!.

Other than that the Oppo plays FLACS very nicely via the inteface and Asset UpnP.

I just sold a Sqeezebox touch which was nice, but I'd rather have the dac in the Oppo being used vs the dac in the Touch.
