Multi-CPU Ripping not enabled in r14 reference

    Howdy,

I recently upgraded to registered reference r14 and I noticed that it is not taking advantage of Multi-CPUs while ripping. I have an AMD Phenom II X3 705e Processor.

I looked through the settings, but don't see anything related to this.

    Thanks for any assistance,

    John

To FLAC. BTW, the Multi-CPU encoding works fine with Music Converter.

The CD drive is 100x slower than the FLAC encoder, hence why you will not see it using all cores (it does not need to).

Correct (of course). This is normal behavior. This is what I see on my win 7 i5 machine. The slowest part is the reading from the disc drive, so at best it moves to the 2nd core briefly doing the encoding while reading of the next track begins. Of course when doing conversion from FLAC to mp3, it uses many cores at once.
