Installing programs on a RipNAS
How do I go about installing programs on my RipNAS? When I insert the program disk, like Quicken for example, it just spits it back out. Also, when I try and install something I downloaded online, like Subsonic for example, it installs but doesn't work or open correctly. Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated, thanks!

Re: Installing programs on a RipNAS
You would have to open WHS console >> Settings >> RipNAS and disable the Ripping Engine, otherwise the CD is rejected.

Awesome, thanks Spoon! Any clue why a downloaded program like Subsonic wouldn't work? Where should I be installing it?

You are installing through remote desktop?

Sort of, I've been using the web based interface with Chrome and Java...will that not work?

Yes it should work also, you would be better through remote desktop though.

Re: Installing programs on a RipNAS
OK, what drive and directory should I install new programs in? Can I just install the regular version or do I need a networked version of the program? The program I'm trying to install is Subsonic (http://www.subsonic.org/pages/index.jsp). It's a music streaming program and they offer several different downloads for the program. Would you know which one to use and where to install it Spoon?
Thanks a lot,
Max

Re: Installing programs on a RipNAS
You would install it to the normal folders (C:\Program Files)
