Hi - Apparently the 21st century has passed me by, and I'm playing catch-up. I just installed Asset UPnP v3, and I am able to browse and play mp3 files (ripped using dBpoweramp) from my Windows XP box.
The first problem (solved) that I ran into were long delays when trying to listen to any track, taking anywhere from 30 - 45 seconds to initiate playback. Once playback started, the displayed bitrate on-screen (from the BDP) would jump all over the place from 128 - 320 kbps. What I finally found that solved this issue was to set the Audio Format Streaming option for MP3 to MP3 (instead of MP3 to as is). Not exactly intuitive, but it works and tracks will now start in 1-2 seconds, and the bitrate will hold constant.
My second problem that I can't figure out is album art. The album art is present in each directory, and Asset UPnP created the "AlbumArtv3" directory, which is also is populated with the same images. However, nothing shows up at the BDP. Windows Media Player *will* display the album art. Any ideas?
