Sony BDP-S570 issues (delays, album art)

Hi - Apparently the 21st century has passed me by, and I'm playing catch-up. I just installed Asset UPnP v3, and I am able to browse and play mp3 files (ripped using dBpoweramp) from my Windows XP box.

The first problem (solved) that I ran into were long delays when trying to listen to any track, taking anywhere from 30 - 45 seconds to initiate playback. Once playback started, the displayed bitrate on-screen (from the BDP) would jump all over the place from 128 - 320 kbps. What I finally found that solved this issue was to set the Audio Format Streaming option for MP3 to MP3 (instead of MP3 to as is). Not exactly intuitive, but it works and tracks will now start in 1-2 seconds, and the bitrate will hold constant.

My second problem that I can't figure out is album art. The album art is present in each directory, and Asset UPnP created the "AlbumArtv3" directory, which is also is populated with the same images. However, nothing shows up at the BDP. Windows Media Player *will* display the album art. Any ideas?

This is an awesome great program. I love dBpoweramp, and plan to add Asset UPnP to my {paid} collection also. Thanks!!

It will show album art from other services (Slacker, NPR, etc).

    These are not UPnP?

These are streaming media services from the internet. I installed KinskyDesktop, and it will see the album art served up by Asset UPnP.

I guess this is a Sony implementation issue, this is their first update to the Bluray software that supports DLNA.

The PS3 will not show browsing art, only playing art.

I have a Sony BDP-S370 and I'm loving the ability to play my AIFF and FLAC files to it using Asset (converting to LPCM).

It plays the 16/44.1 files perfectly, but the 24/96 files I have play at a slower rate via Asset to the Sony BDP-S370. I've tried several settings, but nothing seems to make the 24/96 files play normally.

    Any suggestions?

LPCM is either L16 or L24, nothing I know of right now plays the L24 so everything is L16 (16 bit).
