Compilation albums appear multiple times

I've noticed something in my album view. Some albums appear multiple times, once for each album on the artist. So my album view is cluttered up with compilation albums appear about a dozen times.

What do I need to do in order to have compilation albums only appear once?

Is there a setting to change or do I need to change how or where compilation albums are stored?

You need a 'compilation' tag set to 1 on the files.

How do I change this when the CD were ripped using EAC?

If you have dbpoweramp installed, select the album of files, right click on one >> Edit Tag, click add and change the name to Compilation, press enter and type 1, then select ok.

Hi,

I've had the same issue. When I add a Compilation tag and set it to 1, then rescan the library, I get exactly the same thing as before - the albums still appear once for each artist. Happened when using 2.1 as well as v3 beta.

Any clarification would be appreciated.

Just solved this - this happens only when Album Artist is not tagged with the same value for the whole album.
