    Turning off Duplication

    Hi,

Is it possible to turn off duplication in WHS?

I've got another RAID 1 network drive for keeping two backups of my music collection.

Yes, on WHS Console look at the shared folders tab >> right click on Music and Properties and disable duplication.

It will take a short while before the space becomes available.

Is it possible to enable duplication once again after you have removed it?
I would like to remove it now to free up space for more CD's and then put it back once again after I buy a 3TB RipNAS additional HD.

    Please let me know,

    Russ

    Re: Turning off Duplication

    I've now turned duplication on.

Was expecting a "wait" or "reboot" message, but none were displayed, noticed demigrator.exe used the CPU a bit for a while.

    Decided to reboot.

Waited a while, RDC can't connect but my Mac can explore all the directory contents over the network.

Naturally it would be good to log on and check the status.

    Help welcome.

Leave for a number of hours for it to do this duplication, if still not go, then reboot again.
