Hello, first just to introduce me, I am French, registered user of Asset premium, and I try to use Asset control
very interesting, but one big issue: the playlist "jumps" from one track to the following after 3 to 5 seconds, although the shuffle option has been canceled. I tried to restart Asset, but no success
I use Windows 7
do you have some ideas please ? thank you Jean-Marie

hello back, just an additional information : I use a Philips Streamium UpnP receiver NP 2500, and it shows " an external control UpnP is active" when it changes track

I have just installed the asset control on my system.
I have a windows 7 ultimate x64 system with my music library and a PS audio Perfect wave DAC with Network Bridge (which is a uPNP DLNA renderer).
Most of my music is FLAC format some in high resolution WAV (176 KHz) and some in MP3.
Both WAV and MP3 play flawlessly with the Asset Control program but FLAC does not (red circle).
I once used an iPad from a friend with a DMC program on it and with which my DMS and DMR were able to play it all (so inclusive the FLAC), so the media files themselves do not pose the problem.
So it is the (most probably) the DMC which refuses the FLAC files to be played (maybe because the DMR (my PS Audio PerfectWave DAC) tells it that it cannot (although it definitely can and already has using the iPad as DMC).
What should the DMR (PS Audio PerfectWave DAC) respond to the DMC in order for the DMC to know that it can play the FLAC files?

Thanks for any ideas on how to solve this mystery?
PS I started the Asset Control with debug and will add a little part from it which could be useful.

In OnGetProtocolInfoResult it does not respond it can play flac... it should have 'audio/x-flac' in there.

I've been trying out the dBpoweramp suite for a week or so now and am really impressed with all the tools. Definitely worth paying for, in my view, not least because it delivers a good solution for ripping classical collections like mine. I'm still working out the best tagging method, but adding additional tags and using the tree structure in Asset UPnP is really useful.
The only bugs I am having are with Asset Control (I think that's where the problem is, rather than uplayer or UPnP). The main bug is that having identified an Album in the library, selecting "Play Album" causes the system to hang while displaying the "adding tracks to playlist" message. This only seems to happen when there are more than about 6 tracks on the album. If I try and add the tracks individually then it will start to hang after about 10 tracks. At present all the software is running on one PC (Vista) and the files are all FLAC. I can attach debug log if necessary. I can control it OK from my iPod using PlugPlayer (occasional hangs resolved by restarting apps).
Has anyone else had problems like this, or are they unique to me?

It can take a few seconds to add the tracks, but it should not hang.

It hangs indefinitely - i.e. until I get fed up and terminate it - at least half an hour.

Hi Spoon,

Do I have to be running the paid version of Asset UPnP in order to use the PlayList functionality in Asset Control? Despite the number of items in the playlist in Control, the same song just plays repeatedly unless I select another item in the list. I don't have the "Repeat Playlist" function selected.

The interesting thing is that I can control Asset perfectly well using Plugplayer on the ipod touch. In other words, if I have Asset Control running on the PC and select an album to play using the ipod as a remote, the Asset Control screen is immediately (well, a few secs) updated with the full playlist, but if I try and do the same on the PC directly, it hangs.:confused:

To clarify: You have Asset Control + Asset UPnP (Server) + uPlayer all on the same PC. Adding tracks through asset control lock up, but not when using plug-player (and the tracks update on Asset control)?

Almost. I can add a few tracks individually, but it stops working after about ten or so. If I try and add the tracks using "play album" it locks up. Using plugplayer, I just touch the first track in an album and it adds them all to the playlist and the Asset Control screen updates correctly to show this.
