How are you sending the m3u or pls to uplayer? if they are supplied direct it will not work, but if Asset UPnP Server was to catalogue the m3u then it should work.

Hi, another Onkyo TX-NR807 user here.
AssetControl (2010-06-16 version) doesn't play any mp3s to my Onkyo receiver (red crossed icon), i've mailed a debug log to dbamp.
Other controllers/servers that do work with the Onkyo, any combination:
Controllers: KinskyClassic, KinskyDesktop, Cidero UPnP A/V Controller
Servers: AssetUPnP(3beta), Synology Media Server (DSM2.2) and Twonky Media 4.4.2
(even tried AssetUPnP stream MP3 as LPCM, WAV and MP3, no success)
Looking forward to an Android based controller with the same focus on user experience!
I have it and will look ASAP.

Hi
I too have Onkyo TX-NR807 and cannot play any media of any type.
I am using the NR807 with TwonkyServer 6.
Do you want me also to send the debug output?
Hope you can resolve this - this is just what I have been looking for - it looks great so far!
I am thinking of getting a slate/tablet PC such as the Archos 9 so that I can use this app and the tablet PC as a AV media conroller! :D

In previous posts I've reported problems with the Asset Control & uPlayer combination on Windows XP...
Tracks not playing beyond a few seconds.
Skipping tracks in the playlist.
Stopping in the middle of a playlist.
I've now tried uPlayer in combination with Linn Kinsky Desktop and none of these problems occur. So the problems would appear to be with Asset Control.
Hello Spoon,
I have a Win 7 OS and two monitors: first monitor: 1600x1200 LCD and second monitor: 1024x768 LCD with touchscreen to operate Asset Control
How do I start Asset Control on the second monitor?
Asset Control always starts on the first monitor, even if I move it to the second monitor with "Win" & "Shift" & "arrow key right". After closing, it comes up on the first monitor :(
Moving it to the second monitor would be a solution, but some screen get messed up, because they are behaving like on the bigger screen :(
Can you help ?
Regards
Ebe
PS: I'd give my right arm for the Linn extensions of Asset Control :smile2::smile2:
Found a (temporary) solution:
- Set first monitor to resolution of second monitor
- start asset control
- move it to second monitor with <Win> + <Shift> + <arrow> keys
- set first monitor to original resolution
Regards
Ebe
Any progress in sorting out the issues with Asset Control and the Onkyo TX-NR807?
I am dying to start using Asset Control!
Thanks
Guy

Work has only just resumed on Asset Control after a break for about 10 weeks...

OK, thanks for letting me know.
Do you have an idea on pricing yet?
And will you be doing a bundle price for Asset Control and Asset UPnP?
I am waiting for v3 of Asset UPnP before I buy and would be good to buy them both together -but I guess that depends of when Asset Control is out!
Anyway - can't wait for the release with support/workaround for the Onkyo TX-NR807!
Thanks
Guy
Pricing is undecided as of yet.

Asset Control beta 26 August 2010 version still has temperamental playback issues.
e.g. An album is added to the playlist, the play button is selected and the first track starts playing. If I select the next track button, the first track starts playing again.
<edited - by mistake>

Is it / would it / will it / could it be possible to sync 2 instances of Asset Control?
I am planning to install it on my touch screen slate PC as well as my home server (I have a monitor attached).
It would be amazing if the 2 instances of Asset Control could sync with each other so that I could use both interchangeably to add tracks to the currently playing queue.
PS: when will the next version be available for testing? And will it address the payback issues with Onkyo AVRs? I am dying to have a proper test drive!
Thanks
Guy
