With the next update, you can replace lame_enc.exe

Do you just replace the lame.exe or the lame.exe and lame.dll

            Re: Lame 3.98.4

I've read that the 3.98.3 version which is included in the last update of dMC has a bug causing errors at high compression bitrates. I haven't noticed any problems so far, but I'd like to update the codec in dMC to the 3.98.4 version. Would just replacing the current lame_enc.exe in the dMC folder with the newer one from freecodecs be enough?

                Re: Lame 3.98.4

With dbpoweramp, is there any advantage (or disadvantage) to using the version of lame that allows for floating point wav inputs? (apparently this version will be folded into final lame 3.99 release).

Only if you are converting floating point wave audio to lame.
