Request: New DSP - Copy Tag

Sometimes i have a audio file well tagged, and later i re-rip from cd/ find same song with better quality, but with little or no tags. For e.g, 128kbps (old), and 320kbps (new),

Then i have to tag the new files manually. I was thinking that there be a DSP to copy tag of a file directly from another well tagged file. Or maybe multiple files with multiple files also, say 16 files with 16 files (whole album)

This DSP can also have option to select the format to write tag of New File, like ANSI, or UTF-16 etc.

    Plz reply.

    Regards.

Don't know if Spoon will get around to this or not (think someone else was asking about it in another thread as well), but until he does I think you can accomplish something similar with MP3Tag.

Allows copy+paste of tags from one file to another, and also has tag export/import capabilities for groups of files.

Not sure about the character set conversion things you mention though.
