No Metadata using Mac, Parallels 5, Win 7

Using latest Reference sw I think, 13.3. Brand new Mac-mini w/ Parallels 5 and Win 7.
I have ripped 1000's of albums on a win XP machine with no problems. First time with this setup. I ripped 50 albums and even though the metadata and album art was in the CD Ripper, the tags themselves are empty. Also, when I open the PerfectMeta Match screen, the info is in the left column but the 4 columns from the providers are all empty.
I have read the similar posts and verified or tried the following:
Disable Tag Writing is NOT CHECKED
The Write ID Tags are all checked
    PerfectMeta is checked
    AMG has 251 days left
I tried: Insert a popular CD, then CD Ripper >> Meta Drop Menu >> Retrieve From >> All Media Guide. There was metadata already there and the metadata stayed after doing this so I assume it worked.
No Anti-Virus, I did disable the Windows Firewall and no change.
No matter what I do, I get the metadata in the Main screen, no metadata in PerfectMeta window, and no metadata in the actual tags themselves.
Thank you for any help you can provide.

DSP effect running? such as ID Tag processing?

If you reinsert a previously inserted CD then the perfect meta page would be blank as it comes from the HDD cache.

With the Windows Firewall disabled, I tried it with a new CD. There was now the PerfectMeta Match window completely filled in. That's Good.
But when I ripped a song (to FLAC as I did with previous songs), even though the metadata is in CD Ripper, it is still not in the Song tag. I tried looking at it with Edit ID Tag and Tag & Rename.
Yes, I do ID Tag processing & DSP. This is the same processing I used for the ~2000 CDs I ripped on a WinXP computer. The processing is:
      Calculate Replay Gain
      Remove Rating metadata
      Thanks for your help.

Remove all DSP effects and try again.

Still no metadata in the song itself. Metadata is in CD Ripper and displayed in PerfectMeta Match fields. I removed all DSP effects, which were:
          Remove Rating
          Calculate Replay Gain
          Thanks,

            Follow instructions here:

...also how to do a full reset of dBpoweramp? (if dBpoweramp crashes for some reason) Where does dBpoweramp save its files / settings? It is installed to c:\Program Files\Illustrate\dBpoweramp or c:\Program Files (x86)\Illustrate\dBpoweramp The 64 bit version of dBpoweramp is installed to: c:\Program Files\dBpoweramp It

To remove, then re-install and try ripping with default settings.

              Similar problem with me.
same setup. fresh installed. no DSP.

              Multiencode to FLAC and mp3.

              Metadata are written to mp3-files,
              but are missing in FLAC-files.

              regards

              Marcus

How are you detecting the flac files have no id tags? right click on one and >> Edit ID Tags

You might want to try R13.4 from the beta section of this forum, it will retry to write the ID Tags if a program has the file open (tagging is done after encoding), a virus checker might open the file and lock it.

                      I tried beta 13.4.
                      Unfortunately nothing changed.

Sorry, I haven't gotten back. Been busy with other problems. I will try the reinstall when I get a little free time. I may also try Win XP instead of Win 7. I did install dbpoweramp on another winxp system and everything works fine.

I have exactly the same problem with Parallels 6. I did experiment a little and noticed that as long as I rip to a virtual drive WITHIN the Windows 7 system, there is no problem. As soon as I try to rip to my NAS or the proper Mac drive, the flac files are created but no metadata is added.
