24bit Replaygain on PS3?

Whenever I turn this option on, files will playback but there is no audio.

I have an Onkyo TX-SR875 connected via HDMI. I have played back 24bit audio from Blu-Ray discs on my PS3 before.

Is there something I'm missing?

PS. Using version 2.1.
Machine is a Dual Core 3.2ghz Pentium D, 2GB ram, gigabit connection to the PS3.

I did not think the PS3 supported 24 bit LPCM, I might be wrong though.

hmmm... i will get some true 24bit files and do some testing.

nope... Asset & PS3 will stream a true 24bit file, but as soon as i turn on 24bit replaygain, it plays but no audio comes out. Even if i turn it on and play that same 24bit file, no audio.

Strange...
