    Tagging problems on Squeezecenter

Running Squeezecenter on the Infrant Ready nas NV+ and using DB poweramp reference for ripping & tagging. Having some problems tagging. examples:

    1) Ripped Alan Parsons CD's. Most showed up under Alan Parsons Project. some showed up under Alan Parsons and Alan Parsons Project, The. Right clicked on the files using windows PC and changed all the ID tags to Alan Parsons project. Asked Squeezecenter to scan the directory again but no luck, still shows up as Alan Parsons and Alan Parsons Project, The. BTW these were ripped to FLAC

    2) Ripped Steely Dan into Aiff. When it plays on the squeezebax, the track number does not show up nor does the artist. Normally the display reads: "1 - Do It Again By Steely Dan". In this case, it only reads "Do It Again". Would like it to read "1 - Do It Again By Steely Dan".

Any ideas on how to resolve the above?

    Thanks

    1) Is there an album artist?
    2) It must not be reading the tags from the AIFF file.

    Re: Tagging problems on Squeezecenter

in the case of the alan parsons file. changed the album artist to alan parsons project. in case of the steely dan situation, everything is in order as well. Despite this have problems mentioned on my earlier post.

any ideas on how squeezecenter reads tags? Am a bit new to this and your help would be appreciated. bought dbpoweramp reference so I could get the data base cleaned up. Its a great product but need help so can become better at using it. thanks

You would be best asking on the squeezecenter forum.
