PS3 XMB GUI layout
You know how the PS3 crossbar menu has Music, Video, Photos. Well...Why is it, when I go into "Photos/Asset UPnP", it shows all my music? But I can't play the music. Instead, I have to go back up the menu chain, to Music, and then navigate back down to Asset UPnP, and into my music collection.
Instead of having Photos, Video, Music along the top of the PS3 menu, it should look like this...
Asset UPnP
...|...
Music ------->Artists, Albums, etc.
...|...
Videos ------>Video folders list
...|...
Photos ------>My photos folders

Re: PS3 XMB GUI layout
Asset is audio only hence why we do not have the other values. The PS3 is hard-coded to expect the title Videos, etc which is not in the specification of UPnP.

Re: PS3 XMB GUI layout
Is the PS3 also hard-coded for the folder album art?
Album art only seems to be working for the songs. When I ripped my CD's with Dbpoweramp, I made it place a (folder.jpg) in each folder, and embed the album art in each FLAC file. But only the songs have album art.
See attached picture...

Re: PS3 XMB GUI layout
We do not show album art for an artist selection, only album.

Re: PS3 XMB GUI layout
I was looking in the wrong folders(Album Artist). So now I went to "Album" to view my albums. I still see default folder icon for every album. No cover art. Only the songs have cover art.
Maybe I have something configured wrong. Is the PS3 supposed to recognize Folder.jpg file?

Re: PS3 XMB GUI layout
I am not sure, does the PS3 put album art for those folders?

Re: PS3 XMB GUI layout
The PS3 will not show album art for any folders using UPnP (only for local folders on the HDD).
