      Re: AssetUPNPDefinedBrowseTree.txt

      I'm doing this way:

      I open Asset Configurator
Click on Advanced Settings > EDIT
      Audio Library > Add folder
      Select a folder > OK

Then, after a while a get this message:
      File Write Error
      Unable to open 'C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\ApplicationData\dBpoweramp\uMedi aLibrary\AssetUPnPDefinedBrowseTree.txt

This file and this directory ARE NOT in my system.

      Can you help, please?

      Thanks a lot.

Your system does not seem right, because the system service account does not exist...

I've de-installed Asset, downloaded it again an reinstalled. The problem is still the same.

One note: my system is running ITALIAN version of WINDOWS XP PROFESSIONAL SP2, so the

              C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\ApplicationData\dBpoweramp\

              is actually:

              C:\Documents and Settings\Luca Ufficio\Dati applicazioni\dBpoweramp

NB: there are non subfolder in this directory, only the genres.txt file

Try Asset v2 beta (in the beta section of this forum), if still no go, then it looks like we need to do a little work in that area.

                  Hi Spoon,
                  thanks for the help.

I've installed the Beta, but I still get the same problem and the same error message.

I will be pleased to test the next Beta to see if it works with the Italian XP.

Have a look in the registry (start >> Run >> Regedit.exe)

                    browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Illustrate\dBpoweramp

is there 'DefaultUserPath'? what is its value?

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Illustrate\dBpoweramp is there but inside there is only this line

                      Nome Tipo Dati
                      ab(Predefinito) REG_SZ (valore non impostato)

                      that translates into:

                      Name Type Data
                      ab(preset) REG_SZ (value not set)

Asset has not started as this registry key is set when asset starts. Have a look in services to see if asset is listed, if it is started.
