PS3 - "There are no tracks"

PS3 - "There are no tracks" message when trying to go into any album. (All the correct containers are present)

I have ticked all boxes so that all formats are converted to PCM. PS3 should be able to at least see the tracks... what's going on?

Off the top of my head you should have Wave for the PS3, not LPCM.

Try putting a mp3 file in your library, but uncheck the mp3 from the streaming section so it is supplied as is, does the PS3 show the mp3 file?

It does - mp3 and aac files are showing. I thought it was supposed to be PCM.... I'll test wave and come back.

You were right of course - works like a charm.

I am very impressed by the way, have been looking for a media server for the PS3 that handles vast music libraries well - "PS3 Media Server" does NOT. Incorrect track orders occasionally, and the media library is clunky, browsing slow, and the scan takes an age.

          Now another problem.

Any tracks encoded to WAV to are only playing until about 40 seconds.

If you bring up the detail (press 'select') whilst the song is playing, it knows it's soing to cut off there, as the song is only reported as being 40 seconds long.

          Happens on all tracks.

Also stopping early on non-transcoded tracks too, such as mp3. Just suddenly cuts out. :(

You need the latest R2 beta version of Asset (see the beta section of the forum).

                Thanks Spoon

--Still a (smaller) problem on this beta release though - mp3s transcoded to WAV start playing (3 seconds), then jump back to the start before playing successfully!

Odd, but at least the track plays. Any ideas? :D

Tested and it seems to be just mp3.
