Thread: Not Enough Memory ?? Makes no sense

  1. #1

Question Not Enough Memory ?? Makes no sense

I've been using dB for YEARS!!! without issue

I'm trying to convert some rather large WMA (ranging 189-265mb) to MP3 and I keep getting the following error

Error whilst running DSP effect, lack of disk space?
and then it gives the temp file location of what it was working on

The only affects I am using are regulate volume and remove silence

My system runs 3gigs of ram.
My physical memory usage is generally 50% or lower at any given time
CPU runs between a 4%-21% load
and there's 55.96gb of memory on the hard drive

I have done a complete system sweep to wipe out all the temp stuff and so forth.

I can't see any sort of memory issue to cause the above error ~~ any ideas ?

    Thanks in advance!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not Enough Memory errors on computers are usually "errors of last resort". That means that the code didn't identify a message corresponding to the correct error condition, and you get the misleading memory error.

Open explorer and type %temp% into the address bar, this is where you need the space.

With 56GB of free space on the drive that's unlikely to be an issue.

They mention a HDD, it might not be the system HDD with the temp folder.
