Not one big cue file, one big audio file containing all the tracks from the rip, Daemon Tools cannot mount a cue sheet + individual audio files.

Re: [CUE Sheet Image] Utility Codec

Hi, I'm having an issue with this utility codec using dBpoweramp 15. I'm not 100% sure I'm understanding the CUE sheet correctly, but it doesn't seem to be created correctly.

    Here's what I'm ripping:

    Here's the generated CUE Sheet:
    Code:
    REM COMMENT "dBpoweramp"
    PERFORMER "UnderOath"
    TITLE "Define the Great Line"
      TRACK 01 AUDIO
        TITLE "In Regards to Myself"
        PERFORMER "UnderOath"
        PREGAP 00:59:43
    FILE "01.00 - UnderOath - Pregap Track.wav" WAVE
        INDEX 01 00:00:00
      TRACK 02 AUDIO
TITLE "A Moment Suspended in Time"
        PERFORMER "UnderOath"
FILE "01.01 - UnderOath - In Regards to Myself.wav" WAVE
        INDEX 01 00:00:00
      TRACK 03 AUDIO
TITLE "There Could Be Nothing After This"
        PERFORMER "UnderOath"
    FILE "01.02 - UnderOath - A Moment Suspended in Time.wav" WAVE
        INDEX 01 00:00:00
      TRACK 04 AUDIO
        TITLE "You're Ever So Inviting"
        PERFORMER "UnderOath"
        INDEX 00 02:57:30
FILE "01.03 - UnderOath - There Could Be Nothing After This.wav" WAVE
        INDEX 01 00:00:00
      TRACK 05 AUDIO
        TITLE "Salmarnir"
        PERFORMER "UnderOath"
    FILE "01.04 - UnderOath - You're Ever So Inviting.wav" WAVE
        INDEX 01 00:00:00
      TRACK 06 AUDIO
        TITLE "Returning Empty Handed"
        PERFORMER "UnderOath"
    FILE "01.05 - UnderOath - Salmarnir.wav" WAVE
        INDEX 01 00:00:00
      TRACK 07 AUDIO
TITLE "Casting Such a Thin Shadow"
        PERFORMER "UnderOath"
    FILE "01.06 - UnderOath - Returning Empty Handed.wav" WAVE
        INDEX 01 00:00:00
      TRACK 08 AUDIO
TITLE "Moving for the Sake of Motion"
        PERFORMER "UnderOath"
    FILE "01.07 - UnderOath - Casting Such a Thin Shadow.wav" WAVE
        INDEX 01 00:00:00
      TRACK 09 AUDIO
        TITLE "Writing on the Walls"
        PERFORMER "UnderOath"
FILE "01.08 - UnderOath - Moving for the Sake of Motion.wav" WAVE
        INDEX 01 00:00:00
      TRACK 10 AUDIO
TITLE "Everyone Looks So Good from Here"
        PERFORMER "UnderOath"
FILE "01.09 - UnderOath - Writing on the Walls.wav" WAVE
        INDEX 01 00:00:00
      TRACK 11 AUDIO
TITLE "To Whom It May Concern"
        PERFORMER "UnderOath"
FILE "01.10 - UnderOath - Everyone Looks So Good from Here.wav" WAVE
        INDEX 01 00:00:00
As you can probably see, it is not setting the pregap track correctly and every track following the pregap track is 1 track ahead of where it is supposed to be. The final track on the CD is ignored altogether.

I would expect the CUE Sheet to look something like this instead:
    Code:
    REM COMMENT "dBpoweramp"
    PERFORMER "UnderOath"
    TITLE "Define the Great Line"
    FILE "01.00 - UnderOath - Pregap Track.wav" WAVE
      TRACK 01 AUDIO
        TITLE "In Regards to Myself"
        PERFORMER "UnderOath"
        INDEX 00 00:00:00
FILE "01.01 - UnderOath - In Regards to Myself.wav" WAVE
        INDEX 01 00:00:00
    FILE "01.02 - UnderOath - A Moment Suspended in Time.wav" WAVE
      TRACK 02 AUDIO
TITLE "A Moment Suspended in Time"
        PERFORMER "UnderOath"
        INDEX 01 00:00:00
FILE "01.03 - UnderOath - There Could Be Nothing After This.wav" WAVE
      TRACK 03 AUDIO
TITLE "There Could Be Nothing After This"
        PERFORMER "UnderOath"
        INDEX 01 00:00:00
      TRACK 04 AUDIO
        TITLE "You're Ever So Inviting"
        PERFORMER "UnderOath"
        INDEX 00 02:57:30
    FILE "01.04 - UnderOath - You're Ever So Inviting.wav" WAVE
        INDEX 01 00:00:00

I'm not 100% sure that my second CUE sheet (done by hand) is correct. I think there's either something still slightly off about it or my burner can't properly burn this CUE sheet (using EAC with configured drive write offset) for some reason. It does burn, but the CRC32 for the pregap track doesn't match the original CRC32. Instead of the original CRC32 (2CE41350) it copies with a new CRC32 of B438284A. That might just be a configuration issue on my part, but I wanted to put that out there in case I'm building it slightly wrong.

Ripping as a single wav file + cue sheet produces this CUE sheet:
    Code:
    REM COMMENT "dBpoweramp"
    PERFORMER "UnderOath"
    TITLE "Define the Great Line"
FILE "UnderOath - Define the Great Line.wav" WAV
      TRACK 01 AUDIO
        TITLE "In Regards to Myself"
        PERFORMER "UnderOath"
        INDEX 00 00:00:00
        INDEX 01 00:59:43
      TRACK 02 AUDIO
TITLE "A Moment Suspended in Time"
        PERFORMER "UnderOath"
        INDEX 01 04:23:59
      TRACK 03 AUDIO
TITLE "There Could Be Nothing After This"
        PERFORMER "UnderOath"
        INDEX 01 08:23:49
      TRACK 04 AUDIO
        TITLE "You're Ever So Inviting"
        PERFORMER "UnderOath"
        INDEX 00 11:21:04
        INDEX 01 11:49:50
      TRACK 05 AUDIO
        TITLE "Salmarnir"
        PERFORMER "UnderOath"
        INDEX 01 16:03:37
      TRACK 06 AUDIO
        TITLE "Returning Empty Handed"
        PERFORMER "UnderOath"
        INDEX 01 19:00:54
      TRACK 07 AUDIO
TITLE "Casting Such a Thin Shadow"
        PERFORMER "UnderOath"
        INDEX 01 23:27:65
      TRACK 08 AUDIO
TITLE "Moving for the Sake of Motion"
        PERFORMER "UnderOath"
        INDEX 01 29:41:47
      TRACK 09 AUDIO
        TITLE "Writing on the Walls"
        PERFORMER "UnderOath"
        INDEX 01 32:57:08
      TRACK 10 AUDIO
TITLE "Everyone Looks So Good from Here"
        PERFORMER "UnderOath"
        INDEX 01 36:59:39
      TRACK 11 AUDIO
TITLE "To Whom It May Concern"
        PERFORMER "UnderOath"
        INDEX 01 39:55:43
The result of burning this CUE sheet is identical to the CUE sheet I made by hand for separate files. All tracks are accurate, but the CRC32 for the pregap track is again B438284A. For what it's worth, everything I've ripped has been ripped with dBpoweramp 15 with secure ripping enabled, ultra-secure turned on, and varying the drive speed on each pass. My test disc (a CD-RW) has no scratches and is completely spotless.

Ripping result from my handmade CUE sheet or your single file + img CUE sheet:

Ripping to multiple audio files + a cue sheet does not seem to work with CDs with a hidden first track. The CUE sheet produced shifts the hidden track into track 1, track 1 into track 2, track 2 into track 3, etc, and ignores the last track.

Re: [CUE Sheet Image] Utility Codec

    I noticed two problems:

    1. When ripping to a single image + cue sheet, no .txt log file is created, even if this is enabled in Options. Only the image file and the cue sheet are generated, but no summary file.

    2. Seems similar to what others have described above, if not the exact same problem...when ripping to multiple files + cue sheet, in the cue sheet it seems lines are shifted above where they should be. "TRACK XX AUDIO," and the corresponding "Title" and "Performer" are printed above the file name and not below.

So it is printing, for example:

    TRACK 01 AUDIO
    TITLE "[title]"
    PERFORMER "[performer]"
    FILE "[filename].flac" FLAC
    INDEX 01 00:00:00

    rather than...

    FILE "[filename].flac" FLAC
    TRACK 01 AUDIO
    TITLE "[title]"
    PERFORMER "[performer]"
    INDEX 01 00:00:00

Same here. I'm on Win7 Pro SP1 x64. This is the most important processing utility. Unfortunately seems to be so heavily ignored by developer.

Re: [CUE Sheet Image] Utility Codec

    Hello Spoon,
is Multi-Encoding not supported together with CUE Sheet Image Utility Codec? I have tried several times to encode FLAC and MP3 together but I am always get a corrupt CUE Sheet with mixed FLAC and MP3 Files in one Cue Sheet.
Or is there something wrong, maybe a known bug? This is the last step from changing from EAC/React to dbpoweramp.
    Thanks for your help!

No they would not be compatible together.

Re: [CUE Sheet Image] Utility Codec

Here's a bug, the option to save the album art into the folder as "folder.jpg" isn't working with the CUE Single File Image. It works if I use one of the other encoders, such as FLAC, but it isn't working with this option. The art is embedded correctly into the file.

I have only just purchased dBpoweramp so apologies if I'm about to ask something dumb. I've used EAC for a while but due to its lack of releases I've swapped and looking to replace existing rips in the progress.

Like the others above, I'm also looking at being able to use Multi-Encode so I don't have to keep doing batch conversions. I have one set to rip as flac for future conversions/burns which I require cue sheet to produce exact copies (including pregaps) should the CD get damaged later down the line and one as m4a for the car. The files are ripped to different locations (lets say D:\Master & D:\Car for example). D:\Master in example is also the location greyed out in profile settings after selecting multi encode. Specifiying Cue Sheet - Multiple files in different places actually produces different outcomes.

    1. Specify as dsp effect only in multi encode settings for flac does nothing.
    2. Specify as dsp effect in profile settings produces the same mixed up output as mentioned by DBPowerballou.
    3. Specify in both profile and multi encode flac settings produces what may be a correct cue sheet.

In all cases the file produced is in the correct D:\Master\Artist.... folder.

For option 3 the output lines are in the order mentioned by DaveA.

    Code:
    REM COMMENT "dBpoweramp"
    PERFORMER "Offspring, The"
    TITLE "Days Go By"
      TRACK 01 AUDIO
        TITLE "The Future Is Now"
        PERFORMER "Offspring, The"
FILE "01 Offspring, The - The Future Is Now.flac" FLAC
        INDEX 01 00:00:00
      TRACK 02 AUDIO
        TITLE "Secrets From The Underground"
        PERFORMER "Offspring, The"
FILE "02 Offspring, The - Secrets From The Underground.flac" FLAC
        INDEX 01 00:00:00
    And so on...
As I understand it, pregaps, if present, are stored on the end of the previous track, meaning the information is present for all tracks except the first track unless it is preceeded by a hidden track. Is it possible therefore to add an option to the plugin to allow it to store the per track pregap information in the cue sheet to reproduce the original cd as accurately as possible?

There are 2 ways to use this Cue Sheet Generator:

    1) Multiple tracks + cue sheet, simply include the DSP Effect: CUE Sheet - Multiple Files
    2) All tracks written to single image: select the encoder as: [CUE Single File Image]

These 2 methods should not be mixed.

    Download:

    http://www.dbpoweramp.com/beta/dBpow...etImage%5D.exe

This codec includes both 32 bit and 64 bit DSP / Codecs.

    Hi Spoon

I know I am replying to an old quote/thread but I was wondering if you or someone could help me. I have the latest reference version of dBpoweramp and when I click on the Add DSP effect button I cannot see either the "DSP Effect: CUE Sheet - Multiple Files" or the encoder "[CUE Single File Image]" that you refer to above. Please can you advise where I can find these options.

You possibly have the 32 bit version of dBpoweramp installed as well as 64 bit version, see:

    HTOA is likely not supported.

    Hi Spoon,

First of all, thanks a lot for adding support for extracting to FLAC format with multiple files and CUE sheet. Great work! It is much appreciated and was likely also one of the features most desired by the dBpoweramp users!

Then I also wonder if you think support for HTOA (Hidden Track One Audio) can be added as well, and in that case approximately when? It seems like that is the final piece of the puzzle left to allow restoring all extracted audio CDs with their original bitwise-exact content when using CUE sheet + FLAC multi files.

Re: [CUE Sheet Image] Utility Codec

Is this utility codec (or any utility codecs) available for the OS X beta? I would like to rip CDs on the mac like I do on windows -- which is a single flac + cue-sheet (embedded cue sheet even better!).

    Thanks.

BTW: I don't see the CUE-Sheet-Image utility codec on the "codec's central" page. Probably I just missed it...
