spoon, I think he is asking if you could re-negotiate for a license that would allow for a tagging tool.

Most likely they (AMG) will not allow this to happen as it would be easy to rip discs without paying for the meta-data, then use the tagger to tag for a small license. I wonder if they would be willing if there were a per album charge for tagging...

Is CD ripping services actually a significant revenue source for these meta-data companies? I would expect its something fewer and fewer people need.
