    Ripstation....

    Help !!!

All - I have an 80cd ripstation (7601XD) and would like to use it with Batch Ripper. Anyone know if it will work and what I need to do to get it setup?

Your help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

    Paul

    Paul,

Unfortunately, I don't have access to one of these to write a driver. If you're willing to work with me to capture the USB-serial IO data using the portmon application, I'll generate for driver for you at no cost in return, if it proves feasible. If they're not using a serial port (via USB), then it won't work.

I can be reached via email at the following email address which I have transformed slightly to foil spammers:

    bop is: @

And of course, remove all spaces.

Looks like these aren't serial-based robots, but instead depend upon a bulk USB transfer driver, like the baxter. In fact, they're manufactured by the same company. Perhaps spoon can look into supporting these units.

Does the existing driver (baxtor/etc) not work?

If you can point spoon and I toward a Software Development Kit (SDK), that would help.

    Re: Ripstation....

I also got one of these MF Digital Ripstation, on the information that they worked with the batch ripper.

However I too find the 7601XD is USB not serial, so the serial port specific commands listed for the MF Digital Ripstation don't work.

If anyone has information on making the Ripstation 7601XD work, or SDK information, or appropriate message strings, please message me.
