    Not getting album art

    Hi
I have been noticing for a while that I am not getting any album art appearing when the software identifies a CD. Everything else is fine. Is there a setting that needs changing?
I tried to let you know my version number but can't find where to access it.

    Cheers

Run dbpoweramp Configuration and check that Perfect meta has some access time remaining.

See "Need to find your version?" below for your version number and where to find "dBpoweramp Configuration".

What firewall software are you running? Is it blocking dMC's access?

    Re: Not getting album art

    Hi Wayne
I am running Sunbelt Kerio Personal Firewall. It wasn't a problem in the past when I was getting the album art and to test I just disabled the firewall and tried a CD rip - still no album art.
Is it possible to rip some extra CDs and add album art later? -assuming you guys are able to assist the fix.

    Regards

    Re: Not getting album art

No ablum art needs to be done at the ripping stage. Even parental control software can stop album art working.

No young children, therefore no parental control software.
    Anything else I can try?
I would really like to get this fixed before ripping any more CDs.

    Thanks

    Re: Not getting album art

    Thanks LtData

Went through the tips listed but none applied.
    Still no album art.
Could this have something to do with me not being to get any Meta Data back in August? At that time Spoon asked me to send an email and was able to solve my problem after a couple of file exchanges.

    Thanks

    Re: Not getting album art

That was only to activate the metadata, once activated it should be retrieved.

Is Internet explorer set to use a proxy server to access the internet?

    Re: Not getting album art

You originally mentioned that the CD ripper is retrieving other album data, it is definitely being sourced from AMG, GD3 or MusicBrainz?

Good point after reading metadata press ALT+M to view where it came from.

    Re: Not getting album art

    Thanks for the assistance, guys.
After reading the previous suggestions I loaded 6 CDs. I found that I could only activate Alt +M after clicking on the Meta button on the toolbar. This revealed that, of the 6 CDs, 4 retrieved data from Music Brainz and freedb while 2 retreived data only from freedb. Does this mean that we getting closer to solving the problem? :smile2:

forgot to add that I use Firefox, not Explorer and I do not have it set to a proxy server.

    Thanks
