    LAME Options

    Hi

Just downloaded dBpoweramp yesterday to try it out (normally using CDex)

It looks good, I am especially interested in the meta-data part which is much better than CDex.

    now for the question:

Normally I inwoke LAME as an external encoder in CDex with the parameters

    -V0 -q0 -b256

I can't see any where in dBpoweramp to set the parameters to LAME (apart from the V slider and 'Encoding:' downdown box of course)

Any one knows how to set which parameters are send to the LAME encoder ?

With -V you do not need to set a -b bitrate. The -q0 is set by encoding quality, set it to high.

      Hi there

      Thanks for answer.

Yes this is correct for now, but if some new fancy option comes along in the future, is there anyway to start an external encoder with your own favourite parameters ?

Both CDex and EAC have this feature.

In Codec Central, simply download and install the CLI Encoder codec to use your own executable and parameters: http://www.dbpoweramp.com/codec-central-cli.htm

          Hi

Many thanks for answer, just what I was looking for.

I will give it a try later today.

40$ is a good deal with dBpoweramp's excellent meta-data functions, so
          why not shift !
