    boxed sets

Heya.. just bought DB, mainly for the batch ripper, if tryed searching the forums like a good n00b, but nothing to answer my question.. so here goes

Is theree a way to make the batch ripper keep separate discs, from boxed sets in their own folders insteed of now where it just throws everything in the same folder.

Since DB dosnt make a playlist, its pretty messy when i rip a 10 CD box set of chopin into one folder I have alot of classic, with box sets like that. so it would really be helpfull..

    cheers..

thx alot spoon.. you really are "da Man"..

I also notice on most of my classic CD's, the ripper uses secure ultra etc, on them when there is no accurate rip data available..( that seems to be on like roughly 70% of them) thus taking 30 minutes to rip the disks, most of wich are prestine, is this simply because its the first entry to the accurate database? all the pop music breezes in and out in 5 minutes..

      like this one..

That is right, if a disc is not in AccurateRip then with your setup (3 ultra passes) there are 4x reads of the CD.

          Why the mindepth and maxdepth?

By the way: If you are using dual core, you could use flac compression option = 8 without losing much time -- at least on non-AR CDs, where ripping the next track takes so much time that it will in most cases be done encoding. Some time you might need another hard drive.

            thx alot for the
            replys guys..

as to why.. well.. like most enthusiasts, my main concern is simply to get, the most accurate rip possible, and since alot of my CD's are not in the database, im just trying to make sure i get it right.

I've been using EAC until now.I just bought DB, because some of my CD's are from the childhood of the CD, and im worryed they wont survie alot longer.. so nows the time to rip my entire collection.

What settings would you recomend then porcus, I dont mind the 30 minutes, if thats the best way. but it kinda ruins my workflow

With CD Ripping you do not need the DSP effect 'Bit Depth'
