"Old" Plextor PX W1210TA or Yamaha F1 - still a choice?

    Hi

I have the chance to get a "new old stock" Plextor PX W1210TA - that is still a "real" Plextor, and one of the few I know of that has all the features one would look for in audio extraction:
Accurate-Rip, NO chaching of audio, C2-reporting, overread into leadin AND leadout, HTOA, CDtext.
I wonder, whether this drive from "back then" are still a good choice when it comes to ripping CDs - or are they even still a match or even better then those combo-drives of today?
Also, I still have one of those sought-after drives from some years ago, a Yamaha F1. Any opinions on that one?

It's not, that I would not want to buy a new dedicated audio-ripping drive. It's just a question, whether they would do better than the above mentioned...

    Thanks for any valuable answer!
Working...
