Thanks but still no luck.
I've even tried all the way from -5 through 20, every number plays into the default device.

If I change the default device to Line 1 it automatically works through it.
I also use the device for other apps, so I know it works.

I can't get it to play into the SPDIF Interface either. (Not that I want to.)

Oh and I should point out, I'm on Windows 7 32bit.
      My exact process is.
      • Run uPlayer.exe
      • Call uPlayer.exe via CLI. (Using the following string.)

      Code:
      uPlayer.exe -play="c:\somefile.wav" -zone="waveout:2:Renaissance"

For the next update I will look at sound card selection (also running 2 renaissances as upnp).

Awesome, thank you. I would very much like to be able to use this program. Because it's ability remain running consistently, it's light footprint, and features. All make this a completely amazing app.

            Hi,
I'm using uPlayer only a few days and it's a fantastic tool.
My UPnP server is Asset, as control point I'm using KinskyDesktop. In each room I'm running a PC with uPlayer. If I start the uPlayers with different -collection names, Kinsky found each and I can play different streams. But I want to hear the same stream/music in all rooms. I tried to give all uPlayers the same collection name, but the it was a fortune which Kinsky found and played only one room.
Do I need another (commercial) Control Point software or is there a bug in my setup?

            Ralf

There is no provision in UPnP for doing this, you would need a control point which can link 'rooms' and try to start them off at the same time (but there might be a delay between rooms).

                Hi Spoon,

thank you very much. I see, there wasn't any possibility. In the past, I've tested the TEAC WAP, Devolo Audio Plug and something else.
So it will be the same with the Air UPnP player, because the protocol wouldn't support this. I only know, that Sonos can do synchron streaming to multiroom, but maybe they will use another protocol. At the end of the day, I'll pass some audio wires at the next renovation.

                  Hi Spoon,

I'm playing with the uPlayer COM object.

Is there a way of stopping the command line window opening (i.e. run silently, controlled via COM)?

                  Best regards,
                  Daren.

                      Thanks Spoon,

This works if the host application starts the player executable first and then accesses the controls via COM, but not if you only use the COM interface.

Can the --hidewindow parameter be the default for COM?

                      Best regards,
                      Daren.

Before using com, start uplayer with the command line?

                          Re: dBpoweramp Renaissance Discussions

Just loaded this up use with plugplayer. I can get it to work with the upnp version but not with uplayer.exe. Also it take several minutes to respond to anything and I cannot clear the playlist. I have deleted all the appdata files but they keep coming back with the original playlist.

I think i'm missing something here but apprt from the command line article I haven't come accross much documentation.

                          any advise would be appreciated
                          thnx

You should be able to start uplayer.exe without any command line, it automatically starts uplayer-upnp.exe unless your security software is blocking it.

The playlist might be stored by the control point, unless using a Linn DS when there are extended playlists.
