Post DMC does not include Tags from source files in converted files & CLI Encoder error

    Hello

    My version is:
    dBpoweramp Music Converter
    Release 12.2

I am trying to convert some of FLAC files to mp3 (Fraunhofer IIS) the ID tags are not included in the converted files. The original FLAC files contain comments, lyrics and other data which are not appearing in the mp3 files generated from the FLAC file using dBPowerAmp Batch Converter. :(

Is there any way to include the tags automatically while converting from FLAC to mp3?

There is also one more error message I get while trying to start dBpower application. The screen shot is as follows:

Please tell me the remedy of this error too.

    Please help.

    Thank you.

To get rid of that message, uninstall the CLI Encoder codec, you do not need it.

Hold the mouse over a FLAC file, dBpoweramp will show the ID Tags in those files, are there ID Tags?

I don't believe lyrics are copied over, as dMC doesn't support them. You are saying your mp3 files have NO tags?

    Thanks very much.

Yes there are ID tags..all sorts of. Like Album, Album Artists, Lyrics, Composer etc.

I don't believe lyrics are copied over, as dMC doesn't support them. You are saying your mp3 files have NO tags?
I am not sure what exactly do you mean by 'Lyrics are copied over"- sorry. :( In most of the cases I include the ID tags using a free tool named Media Monkey in the FLAC files. These included tags (including Lyrics) are clearly displayed when I hold the Mouse Arrow over the FLAC file. But a I convert to mp3, I can only find out few of the tags are being exported to the converted file. For example in the last conversion I can see that the Lyrics tag is there, but Original Album Year is displayed beside it. And theTag Original Album Date is completely absent. Album Art is also not displayed properly. I generally add more than one Album Art to the FLAC files. But the hierarchy of the arts are generally messed up. The third album art is only exported not the main (first) one.

Here is one example of what I see in one of the converted file:

    Code:
Artist: (The Artist Name is displayed correctly)
    Title: 04
Album: (The Album Name is displayed correctly)
    Track: 04
    Disc: 1
    Genre: 1
    Year: 1972
    Rating:
    Composer:
Size: 2.72 MB (9% of original, 11 to 1 compression)
    Original Size: 29.99 MB
    Length: 2 minutes 58 seconds
    Channels: 2 (stereo)
    Sample Rate: 44.1 KHz;
    Sample Size: 16 bit
    Bit Rate: 128 kbps
    Encoder: FHG (Guess)
Encoder Settings: Constant Bit Rate 128 kbps
    Audio Quality: Low (Lossy)
    Play Count:
    Last Played:
Contains: Album Art, ID Tag [ID3v2.3 (ANSI)]
    Channel Mapping: Left, Right
File: (The File Name is displayed correctly)
Type: MPEG Layer 3 Audio File [.mp3]
Please tell me is there any solution to my problem if dBPowerAmp does not support it.

    Thank you again.

Could you also paste the tags for one of the original files?

Is the first line of Lyrics 1972? (in the flac file)

To uninstall use the Add / Remove programs in control panel.

Install R13.1 (in the beta section of this forum) and the latest FLAC beta also.

Thanks but I generally shy away from Beta versions as these are meant to be buggy...so before i go for it please tell me:
    1. Do I install it over my existing installation or a separate installation is prefered?

    2. Will my existing license be valid for this beta version too?

Install over for your license to remain. The R13.1 is less buggy than R13 as it is mainly bug fixes.

When you install the beta version, tell it to NOT uninstall your current version.

Ok, and one more question please....if I uninstall the beta version, will my present stable installation settings be lost/ changed?
