How do I add featuring artist metadata?

If I highlight a track from an album and therefore edit only that track's metadata, the data is however added into all tracks of the album.

An album can have multiple featuring artists for multiple tracks. How do I add this data into FLAC tags?

Editing in CD Ripper, or by right click >> Edit tag?

Well that's what I already said, CD ripper doesn't allow to do this just by editing.

Trying to add additional artist (for example: James Brown; Bobby Byrd) only to one track of an album results in the additional artist getting added to all tracks of the album.

What do you mean by right click editing? Windows shell extension maybe? No can do: using Vista.

This should be possible to be done right from beginning: in CD ripper.

Maybe I'm just missing something, please do help.

In CD Ripper, check compilation, then select track 1, and change the artist at the top, select track 2 and change artist at top.

Ok, thank you, selecting compilation seems to resolve the problem.

Maybe it should be changed into future updates so that individual track artist information could be changed without having to select compilation.

Different artists, between tracks is the definition of compilation, why would you not want it marked as a compilation?

This among thousands of other albums includes dozen or so featuring artists and it most certainly isn't a compilation.

Ok, check compilation, set the artists, uncheck compilation.

Strange that you would want such "feature" to remain. Inability to perform fully normal artist data editing without constant unnecessary clicks strikes me as odd.

Data entry forced for all of the album's tracks is entirely unnecessary to begin with. You can always mass-edit all album tracks by not highlighting any of the songs.
