    Todays top most important topic.

    Hi Spoon,

Looking at the time notifications on the different forums I saw they don't seem to be quite accurate.
Well, I think I've made my contribution for now...
Sorry, I was a bit boared, this doesn't get into the database, does it?:shocked:

    Yes,

All times are GMT +1 hour. The time now is 09:07 AM

I'm sure I found 2 different clock settings before but now I can't find them again. But anyhow, this setting differs from my system clock and other clocks around me with 30 min. Isn't it so that all the different timelines are 1 hour apart?

Ops, now I noticed that the time doesn't update on a page viewed earlier, until changed. As I said very important topic this is...

i noticed a 30 min gap too. not all times are 1hr apart, some are 30 min's. is it set correctly in your profile for your time zone?

hmmm.... i will have a look to see what the forum is set too.

well the forum is set to GMT -5 which i am pretty sure it has always been set to that.

but yes i noticed the 30 mins missing too. so it could be the time on the actual server has been altered. Spoon might have to set the time right on the server itself.

Maybe he borrowed the clock crystal for the accurate rip...

    And perhaps...

All times are GMT +1 hour. The time now is 09:33 AM.

    ...should state:
All times are GMT +1 hour. The time you entered this thread was 09:33 AM.

    :supersmil

but doesn't that mean the same thing?

the time now = the time you entered this thread

but if you have "the time you entered this thread" on the front page might look odd? since your not in a thread.

    you must be bored :D

    Ops...

    Got me there...:o

Well, tried my best, since english isn't my better rap it's kinda hard to know if it's any fun (the "pun"), but probably more I'm slightly ticked off that my few (about 4) records to test out accurate rip wouldn't work.

The time on the server can drift, it is a full time job just keeping that right...

yeh it must be some sort of glitch that happens every now and then.

i have noticed every now and then there is some sort of "spike" or something when coming to your site. it kind of hangs every now and then. so whatever is causing this "hanging" syndrome, i suspect is the cause of the loss of time. it might only hang for a few sec's at a time, but that would add up after a while. so during this "hanging" problem the server clock would be stopped also i suspect.

well thats my theory anyway
