CD Ripper: Cannot Get Meta Data From AMG?

    Gday,
I have read the sticky on this, disabled my firewalls (Windows and Zonealarm) but still CD Ripper will not use AMG for meta data, which means I cant get cover art of course. Freedb does work though.

Here are my versions copied to clipboard:

    dBpoweramp Music Converter
    Release 12.4
    Registration Status
    Reference: Registered
All Media Guide: 363 Days Access Remaining

What else can I try to get this working? Thanks in advance!

Go into dBpoweramp Configuration, go to the "Music Converter" tab, and enable debug mode. Then start up the CD ripper and let it try to check AMG, then close the CD ripper and paste the contents of the notepad document here.

Close ripper, then set debug mode on, open cd ripper, insert cd, close ripper and the log is shown.

Which internet security suite are you using?

The responce seems to indicate something is modifying the data stream and corrupting it.

Re: CD Ripper: Cannot Get Meta Data From AMG?

Spoon, I have just uninstalled everything DBPoweramp-related I could find.
I then went to the registry and deleted everything remotely connected to dbpoweramp.
    Rebooted.
Reinstalled my registered copy of DBPoweramp (dMC-R12.4-Ref-Registered.exe)
Reinstalled AMG subscription (it had gone back to the 30 day trial) (dBpoweramp-AMG-2007-xxxxx.exe)
    Opened CD Ripper.

And it still wont use AMG for meta data at all. Freedb continues to work fine.

Im stumped. I have also installed all of this on my laptop and the result is the same. So Im now thinking the wireless router might be a culprit, but going through the setup stuff in there I couldnt find anything obvious.

    Cheers,
    Jake

It is a shame you cannot try a fresh computer.

Umm...as my previous post states, I tried it all on my laptop as well with the same result. So that makes 2 computers.

I think he means a fresh Windows install.

When you shut off ZoneAlarm's firewall, does it have other security features that weren't disabled? Have you tried dMC on a machine on your network that doesn't have ZoneAlarm?

Oh, I see! Actually, this is a fresh install. I installed XP2 Pro about 2 weeks ago after a dreadful Vista experience.

When you shut off ZoneAlarm's firewall, does it have other security features that weren't disabled?
No. Nothing showing in task manager.

Have you tried dMC on a machine on your network that doesn't have ZoneAlarm?
No, Im all out of puters at the moment, but my missus is back home next week and I will try hers even though she also has Zonealarm.
