cda files

I am trying to convert a cd that I own, after copying it to my hard drive, from a cda file to a mp3 file. Here is the error message that I am getting.
Error converting to mp3 (Lame), 'H:\Track15.cda' to 'H:\Track15.mp3'
mp3 Encoder trial has expired, purchase mp3 License to continue encoding to mp3. [clEncoder::BeginConversion] I re registered this past weekend and redownloaded the program, how will I know when it is activated? Dale
