Thread: Using CUE to split audio file

Using CUE to split audio file

    Hello,

Is it possible to use CUE file during conversion to split big audio file (APE/FLAC...) to corresponding small parts? Actually I have not found any
reference to CUE on this forum.

    Best regards,
    Alexander

Not currently, it is expected in R13.

Could I ask you about due date of R13? As I need to know how long time I will need to use additional tools.

    Thank you in advance,
    Alexander

R13 release is very difficult to say when, there is quite a feature set with it.

With the converter R13.2 is it now possible to split Flac and APE files according to CUE file?

If not: Any other tool to suggest? Foobar2000, Medieval (is it good?), etc?

    Thanks!

Not implemented in r13 (although you can create cuesheets with CD Ripper)

In the almost 2 years since my last reply in this thread, I found in cuetools a much better splitter.
It can do much more than splitting, but you have to read and test a bit before you can use all the functionality.

Question Re: Using CUE to split audio file

Does v.14 of dBp support splitting a FLAC based on a cuetools-generated .cue? If so, how?

    Thank you.
