DB Power Amp CD Ripper -- many errors

    Hi,

I've recently been experiencing a number of errors when converting from a CD to MP3 Lame.

This has happened in both Reference 12 and 12.2

It doesn't happen for every track but for many tracks. It has happened on a number of recent classical CD's

The error is: Error ripping to mp3: Error: Unable to open file --- it gives the location I am trying to save the ripped file to.

For each of these, I am getting the red box with an x in it and Error, in the rip status box.

What can I do to fix this?

    Using Windows XP.

What encoding settings are you using for mp3? Are you running any DSP effects? Do you get these errors when you try to encode to another format, such as WMA or WAV?

It is trying to an external hard drive -- my H drive with the folder named:

        H:\my documents\my music\mp3 to be transferred

By the way, I was asked which DSP effects I am using.

Not sure am using any. How do you access DSP effects (I believe they are installed).

I am only getting the problem converting to LAME mp3. VBR extreme

Try using an internal hard disk, Windows is returning that it cannot access the drive.
