    Multiple "folder.jpg"s (album art)

Sorry if this is a FAQ (seems like it should be), but my search didn't turn up the answer. Given that dMC names all album covers "folder.jpg," how does one accommodate multiple albums? This implies that every album's tracks must be in a separate folder. Even then, it doesn't explain how portable players know which pic to display with which track. Again, there's likely a simple answer, but darned if I can find it.

You can embed album art into each file. However, right now dMC only writes the album art out to a file named "folder.jpg". Therefore, yes, if you have multiple albums in one folder, the album art will be over-written.

Portable players normally use the embedded album art, I believe.

In Naming you can add [album]\ just after the [artist]

I have the same problem. Is the above setting made in the setup screen?

On the Options page where the folder.jpg path is set.
