last songs on new discs will not rip

Hello.
I'm using dbpoweramp cd ripper and several times now the last song on new cds will not rip securely-- an error message appears. These cds are brand new, and as I said, it only happens to the last song on the discs.
Please advise.

Does this happen with multiple CD you own, old and new? Sometimes CDs have a problem reading the "Lead-Out" which will result in the rip failing both the AccurateRip and the Secure rip verification. Do the files sound fine?

Yes, this happens with new and old discs. And yes, the songs play just fine. anything I can do to solve this problem?

Same problem here. Only on new CD's. New SACD hybrids are ripping fine (CD layer).

All fine now by selecting "Read into Lead-in or Lead out"

Does this setting have any adverse effect?

The oppersite should be true (ie checking it might stop it reading at the end).

Without this option checked I get the following error on the last track:

What Spoon meant was having the option unchecked could result in adverse affects, such as the error you mentioned.

Using the burst or secure ripper?

Sorry for the delay in responding.

I use the secure method of ripping (not ultra)

I did try burst and ultra secure, but it still failed.

I am quite happy checking the "Read into Lead-in or Lead out" option to resolve this, but just wondered if I should only use this option if I get this error or just leave it checked for all rips?

Just wanted to add that I'm having this same problem with a number of discs, in my case, too, with a variety of discs, old and new.

Unfortunately, in my case, checking the box makes no difference. But when I put the discs into my other drive, they rip fine -- whether the box is checked or not.

The odd thing is that the problem drive is far and away the better of my two.

As it is, I am able to get secure rips by switching drives, so for me this is more of a curiosity than a crisis.

Hello all.
My problem with cd ripper not being able to rip last songs on discs is still not remedied.
I went back and checked the option "Read into Lead-in or Lead-out" and error still occured with the message:
"unable to read cd, check cd disc (frame LBA 279183 ripping 0 frames track end LBA 279182)"
and additionally:
"Drive is unable to read into lead out, uncheck over-read option [clRipperSecure::Rip]"
So i unchecked the "Read into Lead-in or Lead-out" option and attempted to secure rip again, and same error occured, only this time no mention of "...uncheck over-read option...".
I'm not sure what "uncheck over-read option" refers to.
Getting frustrated.
Please advise.

Do you get "ripping 0 frames track" message?
