Easy way to retrieve album artwork?

I searched around for the answer to this question but didn't find anything, so hopefully it's not a repeat...

I've recently finished re-ripping my entire cd collection to FLAC with dBpowerAmp (R11 or R11.5). At least, I thought I was finished. Now that R12 is out and can download album artwork, I of course want to get all of the artwork that I can. :-) Is there an easy way to quickly retrieve album art?

The only method I can think of is to reload each and every CD (several hundred), let R12 start ripping the first track, cancel the rip and manually move "folder.jpg" (if there was one) into the appropriate directory from my original rip. Is there anything faster or simpler?

    Thanks,

    Phil

Seems as you have already ripped the CDs, I would think using dBpowerAMP to start ripping all the CDs again would be a nightmare.

I currently use Album Art Cover Downloader for albums that I have already ripped. It seems to get larger art (especially when using Amazon) than those stored in the AMG database.

Thanks for the tip! I'll definitely look into it. Bigger images would be a bonus, too. I really wasn't looking forward to the idea of going through each album again. I wouldn't have needed to complete each rip - just initiate it and cancel - but it would be just as lengthy a process as the original rip. Yuck...

The CD ripper album art size can be adjusted. Click the arrow beside "meta", go to Settings --> All Media Guide. You can adjust the album art size up to 250x250 or disable it.

I do like the new album art downloader on release 12

But, for those of you who don't want to re-rip your entire CD collection (I'm up to CD no. 653 now!), I've been using a prog called Album Art Aggregator http://team.thenexusnet.com/nexus/AAA/ to automatically download the cover to your music folder. If you want to add the art to the tag as some music players require, use MP3TAG http://www.mp3tag.de/en/ and with the files highlighted, press alt-shift 5 and select import cover from file and specify the art filename :D

You can also use a very simple program to download album artwork quickly, called Create CoverArt. It displays a list of covers for each folder in your library and lets you choose the best fitting one.
