    Tower reccomendations

    Well folks
I'm fed up with my Composer Pro
Calibrated all the robotics ( as per Primera) and am still
    having some issues with reliability.
Sometimes it will do 7or 8 discs and then not pick a disc
which shuts it down, sometimes it does twice or three times that.
All in all a pain in the butt for me. So I have decided to build or buy a tower
with 6 or seven drives. I'm looking for recommendations on what drives to get and how to build a tower or which is a good preconfigured tower to buy.
I know from reading lots of archived post that most like the Plexor drives, but they don't seem to be available. Batch ripper works great with
the Composer Pro it's just that I
don't have the patience for tweaking the machine.
So if a build or buy a tower can I use batch ripper and
    just change discs by hand?
I don't know if this is the place for this, so if it's not appropriate
I humbly apologize in advance, But if any of you out there
want the Composer Pro I will make you a great deal on it.
I am sure somebody with a little more experience or patience
with this thing could get it dialed in perfect. Just not me.

You can, 6 drives would be the maximum per single PC.

I just had a tower built, primarily to digitize large CD collections - quad core, 6 LG drives. It is definitely better than running one CD at a time through a laptop. However, I had higher expectations than the results I am getting (30-40 rips per hour).

With all six drives running, I rarely get more than 25x on any single drive and I only get that speed on one or two drives at a time - the others typically run between 5x and 15x (usually two drives at 9x-14x and the other two at 5x-9x). If I cycle down to one or two drives ripping at a time, the read speeds jump to 30x-40x.

This could be an issue with the system. If so, any suggestions? Otherwise I can help but wonder if this is a limitation in the software.

    Please help.

Not a limitation of the software, perhaps how you have the drives connected. If using USB there will be a bottleneck.
