It it possible with ANY program to convert .QCP to .mp3 or .wav.. please help me :(
From a quick google search, it looks like .qcp files are ringtones. Converting these files to an mp3 or WAV file would sound absolutely horrible.
i got .QCP from recording my friend singing with my cellphone. I would like them to be .wav or .mp3 so i can listen to them in media player and put them on a CD. They aren't that poor of quality but i just don't know if it's even possible to convert them. Please help!
You need to find a player that can play them on the pc, otherwise they cannot be converted to anyhting else .
If you have any means to connect your phone to your pc's sound card using either line-in or the microphone jack and play the files on the phone so they get played through the soundcard, then you can record them onto the pc using dMC Auxiliary Input.
Wow that's really lame.. I guess i'll just listen to them on my phone. Thanks a lot for the response and info guys. :smile2:
Googling for a QCP player there are a few entries such as this: http://www.readylinkusers.com/forums...c,m=1091215871
You may be able to install this and if you can get you .qcp file over to your pc and the player works, then you can use dMC Auxiliary Input to re-record to a different format.
All this assuming those .qp files are the same as yours.

Well, I'm tickled to see both Donny and myself have the same trouble spelling Input and we end up writing Inout :D
Corrected it now for both of us.
Ok, it seems he is looking for a converter to convert QCP files to MP3 files. Everyone seems to be giving him all this advice when he wants a converter. I also am looking for a converter. I don't want a player.
People have many different reasons for converting them and maybe sound clarity is not important.
My Reason for needing a converter:
My Dad passed away not long ago. I have a cell phone message from him still on my phone. I managed to get it on my PC but it is in QCP format, yes, ring tone format because it came off a cell phone.
I want my family to be able to play this recording on an MP3 player or on their PC without a lot of hassle. Most are not real computer literate.
So if anyone has a converter or info on getting one please post it here. I just need a converter. I am sure there is one somewhere. I have searched for days on the internet and all posts like this seem to have similar people giving all kinds of advice. But no links to a converter.
We just want a converter and nothing else.
We are looking for a QCP to MP3 converter!
Thank you! :smile2:
Once you have a way to play such files then you can always convert them. For instance you can use dMC AUxiliary Input to capture the audio produced by the player when such a file is played.
Try this: http://www.downloadatoz.com/audio-mp.../download.html
No idea if it's any good, or even works at all.

There is a QCP player here:

If that helps any.
Hi,
There is also an online one.
Daz
Download this: Purevoice from Qualcomm
Then do this:
Command in Purevoice to convert to qcp to wav format
open qcp file in purevoice
when finished playing push alt shift c
go to save as and save as wav file
