I'm sure you can fix it, you Da Man!
I possibly found a bug with the multi-encoder in combination with writing log files using the tag [rippedtopath].
Situation:
Ripping CD using Multi-Encoder to FLAC and MP3.
Writing to log file...
Is this bug fixed in R16.4?
I think encoding doesn't write logs, just ripping. MP3 is encoded based on the FLAC rip. So no logs exist of that.
After more trial and error I figured out that this bug is related to the combination of multi-encoder with the log file tag [rippedtopath]. When I replaced [rippedtopath] with the hardcoded path as...
So another reply got deleted from me, odd. Anyway, for now I decided to not use the logs anymore. It is too buggy. I hope it will be fixed in the next version. I rather use multi-encoder without...
Thanks for the info. I really appreciate the help.
My multi encoder settings are in the google doc they are:
FLAC
Output To: [IFEQUALS][encoder],(FLAC 1.3.2),FLAC[]\[IFEQUALS][album...
It indeed is related to the multi-encoder somehow. When I put the Profile back to default, it writes just the log file for that rip... Now to find out what is wrong here... I can't be the only one...
Just replace "DOT" with a "." in the URL.
Log: pastebinDOTcom/VXz6X3eQ
Hope this helps. At this point im starting to think its just a bug in dbpa...
Meanwhile I've also been starting to type out all the settings I could find how I have...
I already replied twice, why do my posts get deleted? Is it because I post a link to pastebin with the log? Anyway, reset didn't help. See my previous posts that got deleted twice for all details.
Yesterday I replied to all your questions and advice, but that reply needed approval by moderation. I still don't see my post here so I'll type it out again, a bit shorter this time:
Did about 4...
Rip 1:
Tried one rip with default settings. By default apparently no log is written to file.
Rip 2:
I made screenshots before running the reset tool, so for the second rip I have only put back...
Tried again with "Rip to '._' files, rename album at end" but too but also same results. So it's not related to that setting.
Yes I do have a naming string, that is correct. Each album goes into its own directory, if an album has multiple discs, those share the same directory, with separate log files inside it.
That...
As the log file is getting bigger and bigger I decided to uninstall dbPoweramp > reboot machine > install dbPoweramp with the new installer I got today for registering R16.3 > reboot machine. Somehow...
Just rebooted the machine dbpa is running on, didn't help either. Rather not reinstall dbpa as I will probably lose all my settings and there is no export settings feature, asked about that earlier...
First I closed dbPoweramp. Next I deleted this file as you suggested. Did a rip of yet another CD (not ripped before), and again it contains logs from older CD rips.
Any other suggestions?
It's getting even stranger. I just started to rip a different CD, and the log file written to that [rippedtopath] also contains log information of the other CD I ripped earlier.
My goal here is to...
Tried unticking "Add To Information Log (shown after ripping)" but it still appends to the old log file (which I also deleted before re-ripping). The only thing that changed is that the popup window...
When I re-ripped a CD I ripped before in the passed, it somehow contains the logs from the rip I did a while ago, even though the previous log file was deleted. Is there a way to "reset" or "clear"...
Is it possible to update FLAC to the latest version 1.3.2 for dbPoweramp? I looked up the decoder folder in the installation directory, but there are only .dll files which aren't available on the...
Tried a couple of albums now. Artwork isn't an issue anymore, don't know what initially went wrong with that. Year still is a problem. The Year field is always empty when uploading MP3 files. It does...
There is definitely something strange going on with their service. Goal now is to find the correct combination of ID3 tagging settings in dBpoweramp to get Google Play Music to understand the Year...
1.) Yes, I have checked that both fields are embedded in the files using dBpoweramp's Tag Editor, Mp3tag and foobar2000. All show Year and Album Art correctly.
2.) Can't find if Google Play Music...
