Re: ID Tags, Album Art file size.

    Thanks Dat Ei,

mville, I do use ID Tag Processing DSP to reduce file size, but to be able to it with a simple right click in the editing software, will save time and make a very good programme...

Re: ID Tags, Album Art file size.

Yes, I'm also on Windows 16.6 and have 300 KB checked and this works as intended in CD Ripper. However, if you right click with dBpoweramp Edit ID-Tags, there is no option for file size and the...

Re: ID Tags, Album Art file size.

I haven't had a look at the R17 Beta yet to see if this is available there, but file size would definitely be very convenient for me (and a work colleague) alongside pixel size in ID Tags in R16.

    Great suggestion!
  5. Re: for Classical music lovers: how did you classified?

I'm afraid this is where you need to check what has been entered by the providers as different people see Performer as Artist and others Composer as Artist. CD Ripper is simply doing exactly what you...
  6. Re: for Classical music lovers: how did you classified?

I totally agree about trying which tags work with your player / app. I also don't use Style, though in the example in my previous post TIT1 is, Style and it is populated as I accepted whatever the...
  7. Re: for Classical music lovers: how did you classified?

    Some great advice from schmidj.

    Hi DeleterMann and PGT,

Yes, getting the tagging right for Classical music is unfortunately tricky as really there are no standards and if you ask five people...

    Re: complete lower case naming?

As mville mentioned, using the ID Tag Processing DSP effect lowercase will give you what you want, but what you see from the metada providers will probably not reflect this - WYSIWYG does not apply.
  9. Re: Can't configure Accuraterip with SATA adaptor

I've used a Lindy USB 2 without problems for the last three years. It works perfectly for both IDE and SATA.

    Re: Song Title Capitalization

Yes, as Dat Ei mentioned you can use Captalize Tags from CD Ripper metadata preview, or you can add the DSP, ID Tag Processing >> Manipulation >> Capitalization, which will do it automatically, but...

Re: Rip Status History No Longer Working

On Windows, it is one from the bottom, above Submit Changes to > freedb

The dBpoweramp Cache is second from the top, but that is not what you want. If the list is the same for iOS, you want...

  13. Re: Classical Music Files = naming convention you follow

I tried a track in the car this evening, Supertramp, If Everyone Was Listening. It came up as, If Everyone Was Lister as the last 3 1/2 letters couldn't be displayed!
  14. Re: Classical Music Files = naming convention you follow

Unfortunately, your problem with the Toyota display is exactly the sort of problem that occurs with some players and apps. It is why it is so difficult to come up with naming that works on all...
  15. Re: Classical Music Files = naming convention you follow

    Hi Ar3101,

Unfortunately there are no standards for tagging Classical music and a number of players and apps are not too flexible, some only offering basic search features. Most, sadly seem to...

    Pioneer Album Art

I know over the years, I have seen many posts regarding missing cover art on car players.

I've just added a Pioneer AVH-3100DAB to my car and had a play to see which art was and wasn't displayed....

    Re: Filename & Restricted characters

That has been my experience, and I use the restricted characters in my tags, though using the restricted characters in post editing, is problematic.

Re: Tagging - STYLES within CLASSICAL GENRE (help?)

    Paul,

Why not just use Classical / Opera for Cimarosa, the same as Wagner and Philip Jones, Classical / Brass?

Re: Tagging - STYLES within CLASSICAL GENRE (help?)

As you may remember, I simply ignore Style, because unlike Foobar you have to delve in a couple of pages to find the tag.

The Bach makes perfect sense if you are using Genre = Choral, whilst...

Re: Tagging - STYLES within CLASSICAL GENRE (help?)

    Hi Paul,

With Genre / Style, I don't believe there is a one size fits all answer, simply because of the size and make up of an individual's music collection.

If someone has a small Classical...

Re: Tagging - STYLES within CLASSICAL GENRE (help?)

    Certainly looks that way!

This look is a lot more modern, and a much cleaner. With a couple of new products, this new design makes it easier for tired eyes to navigate the site.
