  1. Re: Disc ID added to Musicbrainz but metadata still not retrieved by CD Ripper

I've posted a question about this on the Musicbrainz forum. Will update here when I get a response.
  2. Re: Disc ID added to Musicbrainz but metadata still not retrieved by CD Ripper

I tried this again on a different PC with the same results.

Here are some of the albums concerned which have their disc IDs listed in the Musicbrainz database in case you can check them:
    Nick...
  3. Re: Disc ID added to Musicbrainz but metadata still not retrieved by CD Ripper

No, their database appears to be updated straight away. These are automatic updates that don't have to be voted on. As of just now, my dBpoweramp is still not retrieving metadata from Musicbrainz...
  4. Disc ID added to Musicbrainz but metadata still not retrieved by CD Ripper

Hi, I ripped a large number of CDs over the summer. When I found discs where the Musicbrainz metadata was not retrieved, I added the disc ID to Musicbrainz and then found that dBpoweramp retrieved...

    Thanks!
  6. Force ripper to match specified MusicBrainz release

Hi, is there a way to force Ripper match a CD to a specific MusicBrainz release?

For example, a lot of Bruce Springsteen and Bob Dylan's albums have been released in a single multi-disc album...

Re: Restricted characters in logfile path

Thanks very much. I will just edit the album names manually before I rip. I thought I might have missed a setting I could change.

    Restricted characters in logfile path

Hi, I've used the restricted characters option to replace : with - . So if an album title contains a : , it will replace the : with a - for the folder with the ripped music files. But it creates a...
  9. Re: Can TuneFusion sync iTunes library with bespoke alpha-sorted sub-folders on a USB

Thanks. I've installed the trial version. I'm not sure how I would do what you suggest. I'm not an experienced coder. Do I use GRAB to take the first few letters from the artist name and use that...
  10. Can TuneFusion sync iTunes library with bespoke alpha-sorted sub-folders on a USB?

I have a 256GB USB stick. To make it easy to scroll to the album I want to play, I’ve created bespoke alpha-sorted sub-folders on the USB stick set up so that each holds about 40 albums.

    So the...

Re: Error "unable to open file"

Spoon, many thanks. Controlled folder access is enabled, so I added the programs listed. It looks like that did the trick. I've now been able to convert an album to mp3 with the destination in my...

Re: Error "unable to open file"

I was able to convert the files when I changed the destination in the Batch Converter to C: instead of my Music Library. I could then copy and paste the mp3 files to my Music Library. Maybe this is...

Re: Error "unable to open file"

Hi, I'm having a similar problem, trying to convert FLAC files to mp3, and write the mp3 files to my Music library on my C: drive. I've never run into this problem although I've converted lots of...
