Good to know. I have wanted to know how exactly a bad rip would sound so it&*8217;s good to have an idea.

Good to know. I have wanted to know how exactly a bad rip would sound so it&*8217;s good to have an idea.
That sounds good! Is it possible that a file could rip quieter than the rest of the album or is that just a matter of how the track was mastered?
Hello,
If I just ripped a new CD that has not yet been submitted to AccurateRip, and I get a result of secure but with a green i, does that mean that the track could potentially end up being...
That makes sense. As long as editing the metadata doesn’t alter the audio data, then it’s not really an issue. ;)
Hello,
Please see the attached files.
These screenshots show what exactly PerfectTunes is showing after I have edited the tags for certain tracks on particular albums. I'm not sure if...
Hi all,
Something I have noticed with PerfectTunes is that, if I, for organizational purposes, change the track number or album title associated with a particular file, that file, when run through...
Isn't it supposedly not very good? Everything I read about it says it misses lots of errors.
I find myself in this exact situation every now and then and it's rather saddening but hoorah for all the discs that are easily obtainable.
Do you know why certain CDs (like the ones I mentioned originally) can be ripped with iTunes or Windows Media Player but end up returning errors in EAC or dBpoweramp?
Thank you for this informative answer. What's also frustrating is trying to ask sellers on Discogs and eBay if they know if a disc can be ripped, and they say yes, but they just use iTunes, unaware...
Hi all,
I’m just curious about an issue I’ve had over the years. I have a number of discs from the early 2000s when copy protection was a real issue. What these discs have in common is that they...
That&*8217;s kind of a bummer. I&*8217;ll probably buy a different pressing.
Hi all,
Please see the screenshots I've attached. I have a CD that is supposed to rip accurately but each track flies through all of the possible passes in the ripping process, only to give me...
Very interesting to read. A key piece of information that I've learned has to do with the one frame limitation you mentioned. I wonder who or what caused that to be the case.
I think that explains why you do not often see gapless albums available for digital download.
Thanks for the response. If I were to purchase a track from the Apple iTunes Store, listen to it and not hear a click at its beginning or end, would you say that would be the result of the source...
Hi all,
I have posted about this before and I apologize if you recall reading about this particular issue a number of other times. I am just trying to understand why a specific issue occurs with...
Somehow a week has gone by and I was just able to check on this now. It's still reporting an error but I honestly believe there is nothing wrong with the file. The file itself has a confidence 94 and...
Hi all,
I wanted to make sure a rip of mine was okay after I transferred files from my PC to my iMac. The files from the original rip are accurate. Confidence levels for each of the tracks in the...
I started a thread a few weeks ago about this particular situation. I was initially reluctant to use Audacity to edit my files. However, I am wondering if you could confirm that if I set the dither...
Thank you for your help. I will try to find another drive and see how it does. I think my current drive simply doesn't read discs at the right places.
Yes. I uploaded the files to my Google drive, downloaded them on an entirely different computer, and listened with headphones. My gut tells me the issue has to do with the files. I should mention...
I agree that the forum format can create confusion. I have been backed up with work-related things but I will try something other than foobar2000 or the Apple player to see what happens.
Yes, the files are the same on other computers. I am connecting my phone to an external amplifier. Perhaps that could be the cause of the problem.
I'm sorry, I think I could describe the situation a little better. The Apple player is gapless. I understand what you are thinking - if the player isn't gapless, then there will definitely be pops...
